Mike Weintraub

Mike Weintraub is a co-founder of Next Step Retirement & Insurance Services LLC, established in 2019 to serve small and mid-market 401(k) plans and other advanced employer-sponsored retirement programs. He works closely with plan sponsors, trustees, and key employees to help them design and manage effective qualified and nonqualified retirement benefit solutions.

Mike began his career in 1967 and went on to found Contemporary Pensions, Inc. (CPI), a third-party administration firm later acquired by Relation Insurance Solutions. He led the Retirement Plans Division, overseeing operations, sales, and marketing across a 450-employee organization.

Widely respected in the financial services profession, Mike is a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and a past Chair of its prestigious Top of the Table Advisory Board. He is also a former Chair of Life Happens (now part of NAIFA) and continues to serve on its Advisory Board.

Outside of work, Mike is active in philanthropy and serves on the Board of the Diablo Regional Arts Association. He lives in Alamo, California with his wife Paula and enjoys traveling frequently to Hawaii, New York, Asia and Europe.
